Distinguishing Features

Small evergreen, rhizomatous geophytes; leaf blade subreniform to broadly sagittate, often variegated, fine venation reticulate; peduncle equalling or longer than petiole, slender; spathe greenish, unconstricted, completely expanded; spadix female zone adnate to spathe; flowers unisexual, perigone absent. Differs from Filarum and Zomicarpella in having relatively thick, subcylindric terminal spadix appendix, stem a creeping rhizome, and 1-ovulate ovary.
